Pigs Might Fly was born out of disaster and in the need for Carisbrook to turn the corner. The world seemed to have forgotten the tragedy that the towns people had suffered so it was time for them to take steps to begin changing their township into what they all wanted.
On July 22nd 2012 a lunchtime town meeting was held at the local Football Ground and with a turn up of over 100 participants the process was begun.
Following this Pigs Might Fly meeting a number of projects have been initiated at the request of the "more than a hundred" Carisbrook residents who attended and selected 6 which had the most support/votes by the participants, from all the ideas put forward(over 800).
Over 50 willing participants began the process of making those 6 wishes become reality. This was followed by further meetings, discussions, emails, telephone calls and information gathering that brings us to the present. At these meetings it was muted and decided that whilst 'Pigs Might Fly' is a great concept the long term future of Carisbrook needed an entity that better reflects the aspirations, dreams and needs of the community.
So was born Carisbrook Projects Incorporated.
